We forgot to bring unsalted peanuts but still managed to visit with some of the wildlife around my grandparents’ bench in Springbank Park 😊 We’ve come here many times over the years to feed the chipmunks. This time was the first time we brought our son 🥰 As a child, I have many fond memories of going to Springbank Park to feed the geese. My grandparents would bring some slices of bread and we would walk down to the river and feed the geese. These are among some of my most cherished memories 💕 #wildlife #fondmemories #birds

Did you see the eclipse?? 🌙 I’m still in awe of the solar eclipse experience! Though it got too cloudy for us to see totality, I was still able to experience it. It was incredible seeing how quickly day turned into night and back, it would have been very easy to miss!

Despite the clouds, we were able to enjoy this rare opportunity to experience the eclipse! ☀️ On a positive note, the combined efforts of our car’s sunroof and the clouds meant that we could get some good pictures just using our phones! The three street pictures from totality are all just one minute apart! Starting at 15:20 then 16:21, and 15:22! It was such an experience with how quickly the day turned into night and back again. It got colder, street lights came on, and we could hear neighbours cheering with excitement! After this, now we want to go and chase the next eclipses around the world! 🌍

I haven’t posted in a while, so here’s an early morning sky. Lots of busy days for me but lots more to look forward to! Catching the early morning sunrise is going to get more challenging as the days get longer, but road trips will be much more enjoyable! 🦜Had some fun visiting the Bird Kingdom a couple of weeks ago 😄 We managed to get a good deal on tickets through CAA and figured it would be fun to do with our son. We also brought my mum along; she really enjoyed the birds too! Our little guy had loads of fun watching and pointing at the birds as he now loudly exclaims “THERE!” with the utmost urgency whenever he sees or wants to go look at something haha 🦩We also had the opportunity to feed some of the birds (I forget which ones, they’re pictured at the end). It was lots of fun feeding them and interacting with them. Our son also really enjoyed the bird feeding. Super excited to get close (but not too close) to the birds he would probably try and take one home if he could 😂 #birds #birdphotography #birdkingdom #niagarafalls

Super snowy day today! ❄️ Winter seems to have come up out of nowhere! True had a class this morning so we were bracing for a snowy drive up. Turns out that it’s just the southern half of Niagara that had whiteout conditions haha very nice and sunny up in St Catharines! Also I’d say that this was our first real snow with this car, handles very well despite it only being rear wheel drive. Tesla has the best traction system too from what I understand; the car managed itself well even when flooring it (it didn’t go full power). Last picture is of True and Troy keeping warm with Disney+ while I shovelled a path through nearly 15 cm of snow. Fortunately, it was very light and fluffy snow ⛄️ #winter #snow #tesla #model3

There’s so much to enjoy in life. Taking in the scenery and the beauty of the world around us; being with family (and friends who are like family); and allowing yourself the opportunity to sit, relax, and reflect. Preferably by a fire haha #simplepleasures
